Cookie policy
Last updated: 4 June 2026
This cookie policy explains how Latimers ( “we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on https://latimers.co.uk. It should be read with our privacy policy.
We comply with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR when using cookies and similar technologies.
Who we are
Latimers, 45 Latimer Street, Romsey, Hampshire SO51 8DF, United Kingdom. Contact: hello@latimers.co.uk.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, improve security, or remember preferences. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels. In this policy, “cookies” includes those similar technologies where relevant.
How we use cookies
We aim to keep cookies to a minimum. Cookies are grouped by purpose under UK guidance:
- Strictly necessary: essential for the website to function or to provide a service you request. These do not require consent under PECR.
- Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the site.
- Functional: remember choices you make.
- Marketing: used to track visitors or show relevant adverts.
Cookies we use
We use the Meta Pixel to measure our advertising. It is a marketing technology and is loaded only after you accept cookies. Before you choose, or if you decline, it is not loaded and no Meta cookies are set.
We also store your cookie choice on your device so we do not ask again. That is strictly necessary for the consent banner to work and does not require consent. The waitlist form does not rely on cookies to work.
Our hosting infrastructure may process technical data (such as IP address) in server logs. That is not the same as a browser cookie and is described in our privacy policy.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| latimers-cookie-consent | Latimers (this site) | Remembers whether you accepted or declined cookies so we do not ask again. Stored in your browser. | Until you clear it | Strictly necessary |
| _fbp | Meta Platforms | Set by the Meta Pixel to measure and attribute our advertising. Only set after you accept cookies. | Up to 90 days | Marketing |
When you accept, the Meta Pixel may set further cookies through Meta’s own domains. Meta acts as a separate controller for that data. See Meta’s privacy policy for details.
Your cookie choices
You can change your choice at any time below. Declining stops us loading the Meta Pixel on future visits.
You have not made a choice yet.
Third-party content
Links on our website may take you to third-party services (such as Instagram or Facebook). Those services may set their own cookies when you visit them. We do not control those cookies. Please review their policies.
How to control cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. You can:
- delete cookies already stored on your device;
- block all or certain cookies; and
- set your browser to notify you when a cookie is placed.
If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of a website may not work correctly. Blocking cookies on other sites is a matter for those sites.
Useful guidance is available from the ICO: ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no uniform UK legal standard for how websites must respond. We do not currently change our practices solely because a DNT signal is received.
Changes to this policy
We may update this cookie policy when our use of cookies changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. Please review this page from time to time.
